Hello! I’m Tracy.
I am wife to my amazing husband Mark and mommy to our two adorable kids, ages eight and five. I work a full-time job in higher education by day. When I’m not chasing kids, hanging with my husband, or working, you’ll probably find me running, reading, or writing. These are the three R’s that keep me sane.
Here at Working Mom’s Balance, my goal is to empower and encourage busy working moms to take control of their wellness to attain their best physical, spiritual, and mental health. I don’t believe in quick fixes, gimmicks, or complete life overhauls, but rather, making small daily choices and habits that lead to realistic and sustainable life change.
I also aim to help working moms develop processes and strategies to simplify their other responsibilities to make more time for their health and wellness.
What is Working Mom’s Balance all about?
Let’s face it, you have a lot of things on your plate. You might have work responsibilities, children, a husband, a home to keep up with, church and volunteer events, and that’s just the big things.
Often, as working women, we find ourselves exhausted, overwhelmed, and just trying to keep up. We’re hanging on for dear life, just hoping for the day that things finally slow down.
Except, if we’re really honest, we recognize that things aren’t likely to slow down anytime soon. Life doesn’t have a pause button.
We look forward to the day when we will actually be able to take the time to focus on our diets and develop an exercise habit so we can finally lose the extra weight.
We hope that someday soon all the stars will align so we can get to bed at a decent hour in order to wake up at a decent hour to have some prayer time and a chance to read our Bible.
We dream that maybe someday, by some magic, we will actually get a chance to slow down and process our lives. We’ll be able to overcome our anxieties and worries. We’ll be able to dream and pursue our personal goals. We’ll get a chance to feel fulfilled and successful.
But you see, the reality is that life doesn’t happen by chance. We won’t suddenly wake up one day with loads of free time, massive amounts of energy, and the space to create the life of our dreams.
We actually have to intentionally pursue our best life in the middle of our busy.
This probably means you won’t be able to overhaul your diet by tomorrow. You might not be able to run a marathon next week. And it might take months for you to actually establish a consistent habit of spending time with God.
Life is about growth, the small little baby steps we make every day. The tiny little choices we make in the small moments of our lives add up to our reality.
And that, my friend, is what WorkingMomsBalance.com is all about.
We won’t be talking about drastic changes that you must implement right now to solve all of your problems. There is no miracle supplement. No secret formula that guarantees perfect results for everyone. None of those things exist or work.
Here, we talk about our habits, our daily choices, and the little changes we can make to learn, to grown, and to improve.
What can you find at Working Mom’s Balance?
We talk about ways that we can improve our physical health, our mental health, our spiritual health, and our overall lifestyle (relationships, finances, personal growth, etc). We even discuss ways we can simplify other areas of our lives to create more time and space for our wellness.
