When I was younger I always thought my mom was odd. She was constantly reading and preferred reading a book to watching TV. Who does that?
Well, it turns out that as an adult, I am just like her. I love to read. If I could figure out how to make it my career to sit around and read books all day I would be in heaven. But alas, book reading doesn’t directly correlate to income earning, so for now, my reading time is limited.
I tend to read just about anything and everything. I have to limit the amount of fiction I read simply because I struggle with self-control. If I really love a good fiction book I can’t put it down, meaning I ignore my family, my household chores, and possibly even my actual job. So, I only start a fiction book when I’ve got some extra time to spare. 🙂
This is the list of books I have read in 2018. I set a pretty realistic goal of reading 30 books this year. I’m pretty sure I’m going to make it!
My favorite books are marked with an *.
29. The Prince Warriors Book #1 by Priscilla Shirer and Gina Detwiler (reading this one with the kids)
30. The Ministry of Ordinary Places: Waking Up to God’s Goodness Around You by Shannan Martin (I’m reading an Advanced Reader Copy, this book releases October 9th, 2018. Check out the great preorder bonuses at www.ministryofordinaryplaces.com)
31. Remember God by Annie F. Downs* (I pre-ordered this book and got the audiobook for immediate download. This book releases October 2nd, 2018)
